Visitation
“…When did we ever see you sick…, and visit you?” “…I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”
Matthew 25:39-40
Visitation - to go to see in order to comfort or help; to pay a call on as an act of friendship or courtesy; to go to see or stay at (a place) for a particular purpose; a short stay.
Visitation is such a common and simple word, but a powerful ministry. In the passage quoted above Jesus makes it perfectly clear how important it is to show care and concern for others. It is so important that He says our visiting and caring for others is as if we were visiting or caring for HIM! We are going to care for Him by visiting in these areas:
• Shut In’s
• Hospitalized
• Nursing Homes
• Visitor Follow-Up
• Inconsistent Attendees
• Inactive Attendees
• Prospect List
• Encouragement Visits
• New Residents
• Grieving Family Members
