Age Requirement Policies

 Grades K-4 and K-5

Students must be age 4 to enter K-4 and age 5 to enter K-5 on or before September 30th. WE PREFER STUDENTS ADHERE TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM’S BIRTH DATE DEADLINE, WHICH IS DETERMINED BY THE FIRST SCHOOL DAY OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR. IN THIS WAY, STUDENTS WHO MAY LATER GO ON TO PUBLIC SCHOOL WILL HAVE NO DIFFICULTY WITH AGE ACCEPTANCE. Although a student is allowed to attend ECS based on our birth date deadline, his/her acceptance into public or other private schools is based on THEIR age requirements.

Grades 1-5
Students entering first grade must be age 6 on or before September 30th. WE PREFER STUDENTS ADHERE TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM’S BIRTH DATE DEADLINE, WHICH IS DETERMINED BY THE FIRST SCHOOL DAY OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR. IN THIS WAY, STUDENTS WHO MAY LATER GO ON TO PUBLIC SCHOOL WILL HAVE NO DIFFICULTY WITH AGE ACCEPTANCE. Although a student is allowed to attend ECS based on our birth date deadline, his/her acceptance into public or other private schools is based on THEIR age requirements.

Students entering second grade and higher are accepted into the grade level assigned providing the student transfers from a program with a recognized curriculum comparable to Evangel Christian School and that all entrance requirements have been met.
