Pastor Clinton and Wanda Hobbs
Senior Pastor and Women's Pastor

Pastor Hobbs and Wanda met when they were in the 7th grade in Greensboro, FL while she was singing gospel with her sister and cousin. They became High School sweethearts. In the 10th grade Sister Wanda was diagnosed with a hereditary disease that has left her legally blind, called Stargardt’s Disease. Pastor Hobbs was waiting at her house when she came back from the doctor and when he was told, he held her and told her not to worry because he would always be her eyes. He always has. After graduation they married in 1965. Pastor (on a basketball scholarship) and Sister Wanda attended Chipola Jr. College. After college they began to pursue their lives and a family with 4 children (and now 7 grandchildren). On the weekends they preached and sang with a gospel group. In 1975 they accepted God's call into full time Pastoral ministry. Since then they have Pastored 6 wonderful churches in Florida and Alabama. In 1993 they came to Saraland to become the Pastors of Lakeview Assembly of God. In 1998 the church was relocated to it's current location and renamed Fountain of Life Church. Pastor Hobbs and Sister Wanda have a passion for ministry and a love for people. Spend a few moments with them and you will witness it.

Annie
and Scott Miller
Children's Pastor

Scott and Pastor Annie both grew up in the Mobile area. They did not realize it due to the difference in their ages, but they attended the same school for a few years. During a graduation service she heard one of the older students singing the song “Wind Beneath My Wings”. Immediately she fell in love with the song and the voice. In 1999, Pastor Annie rededicated her life to Christ and began attending FOLC. That is where Scott and Pastor Annie met and fell in love. Shortly after they started dating, she realized that Scott was the voice that she had fallen in love with years ago. After joining in marriage in 2000 they both served in ministry, Scott in music and Pastor Annie with children. God has blessed them with three incredible boys, Austin (12), Caleb (6) & Eli (3). In June of 2006 God called them to join their gifts & talents together to lead the children’s ministry here at FOLC.
“We are so honored that our creator would choose to use us to help equip His Chosen Generation.” Pastor Annie

Hobbies: shopping, spending quality time with my family
Favorite book: The Yada Yada Prayer Group
Favorite Restaurant: Olive Garden
Favorite Scripture: Phillipians 4:3-6 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Most Embarrassing Moment: Recently, Scott called the church and asked if there was any reason that the church minibus was stuck in the mud next to the interstate exit ramp in the next county. Scott was on his way to a job site and just happened to see it. No one knew of any reason or anyone who would have left it there. So it was assumed to be stolen. We filed the appropriate paper work with the authorities and went to get it. The minibus was in good shape. It had not been broken into or hot wired. It was just stuck in the mud. Even the doors were locked. Somebody had a key. After questioning who had it last, it was discovered that Pastor Annie had it several days before. It seems that after Pastor Annie had used the minibus to take holiday food to a local nursing home, she dropped the key in it or near it and someone found it and took it for a spin. Scotty found it before we ever knew it was stolen. Pastor Annie was glad that Scott redeemed the Miller name. (ps. whoever has the key, would you please return it. Pastor Annie is not getting another one.)

An interesting fact that most don't know: I like to listen to classical and opera music. Like Pastor Hobbs, I am a “Weatherman wannabe”
Most Embarrassing Moment: While vacationing in the Smoky Mountains, my wife and I found it enjoyable to stroll through the little shops dwindling the time away. As one who likes bottled water, I often find myself in search of a restroom. Coming to one of the public restrooms along this tourist driven town, I found myself going through a detour maze as remodeling was being done. Since it had been a while since my last visit to the facilities and with the detour, I hastily entered the restroom and although I considered it a bit strange that there were no urinals, I proceeded to take care of my business in the first stall. Germ conscious, I washed my hands and headed out the door. As I exited I then noticed the pink wall color and opening the door saw a horrified look on the face of the lady entering. Trust me when I tell you, I got out of there in a hurry!

Lora Armstrong
Office Manager

Lora Armstrong began working with our school in September of 1986, as a teacher's aide with Lee Tillman. She has worked in the school kitchen making chili cheese fries for the high school. She also worked as the custodian for the school and the church. In 1993 she began working in the church office. There were only about one hundred people attending at that time, so she had a lot of time to lie on the floor and read. In August of that year Pastor Hobbs came to Lakeview and things changed (no more lying on the floor). Her job description is vast. She manages the office, she is the bookkeeper, and she is over building maintenance and cleaning, and anything else that is necessary. Lora is blessed with one beautiful daughter and son-in-law.
